DLSE approves permits for the payment of less than the minimum wage to employees with a disability and to sheltered workshops. For information on obtaining a permit contact the DLSE Licensing & Registration Unit using the contact information listed below.
Minors aged 15 days to 18 years employed in the entertainment industry must have a permit to work, and employers must have a permit to employ, both permits being issued by DLSE.
